What visitors say

“What a brilliantly designed and customer focused set up. The Luss Distillery has created a wonderful, self guided, interactive tour that lets you smell the different products used in their gins and discover what your preferred whisky might be. It then prints you a little card that you can take to the shop and sample. You can also participate in a more indepth guided tour through the area with all their whisky casks for a fee. The staff were all so lovely and happy to have a chat. Adored it”

“🆓 Free to enter and still one of the better experiences you'll have on a trip to Loch Lomond. Walk in, no obligation, leave considerably lighter in the wallet anyway - the shop will see to that. 🏗️ Newly built and genuinely well done. Dark cladding, copper accents, wooden beams - it looks the part without trying too hard. Feels like someone actually thought about it rather than just slapping a gift shop next to some barrels. 📖 The exhibition takes you through the full story - Loch Lomond history, the distillery's philosophy, and the production process from milling to maturation. Interactive panels, decent wall displays, good quality throughout. You'll actually learn something, which is a bonus. 🥃 The shop is dangerous. Loch Lomond's full range is on display - from entry-level all the way up to a 19-year-old Open Course Collection at £195 a bottle. Glen Scotia also makes an appearance, including some limited edition Icons of Campbeltown bottles that are genuinely hard to find elsewhere. 📋 Book ahead if you want the guided tour - it gets busy and you get 10% off in the shop, which at these prices is not nothing. 🌿 A solid stop whether you're a serious whisky enthusiast or just curious. Just don't bring a budget and expect to stick to it.”

“Me and 3 mates did both the whisky tour and the Gin experience back to back and honestly had a brilliant time. Very informative and really good value. I think by the time we got to the gin experience we were feeling a little squiffy but this made for plenty of laughs with the other group in the gin experience. would not hesitate to recommend.”

“Located in the town of Luss by the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. More of a display and tasting centre than a full working distillery, a well-put-together place worth a visit.Free entry to the display and you can walk straight into the tasting area and shop. Modern, clean setup with a nice layout, and you can see the gin still but no whisky made on this site. I tried a Loch Lomond whisky, the Distillery Edition stood out. Shout out to Adam, good bloke, friendly and knew his stuff. Good spot to stop in for a whisky or Scottish gin fan. The town itself is beautiful too.”

“Tara was brilliant - the distillery is beautiful. The tasting bar is a gorgeous setting to enjoy the range of gins. I’ve lived here all my life and I still learned new things about the local area. What a lovely thing to do on a Sunday afternoon. Thoroughly recommend the gin adventure - great value for money.”
