What visitors say

“I am in love with Dave. This man made our private tour of the distillery an emotional, funny, and highly informative experience. Sam, this man brings a very special charm to your distillery. I hope you appreciate him a lot. And yes, of course.....the gins. Hills & Harbour gins have been among our absolute favorites for a few years now. Now complemented by the Sassenach collection, it makes for a perfect lineup. Our dogs were very welcome, and we truly appreciate that as well. Thank you, and we will definitely see you again.”

“We arrived after a long, wet drive from Ayrshire to a very nice welcome from Jay. The distillery grounds and building are beautiful. Thank you to Dave for a great tour and your knowledge on the background and processes involved in the different distillations and formulations. After many distillery tours around Scotland, this tour is unique, friendly, open and generous with sampling! Hopefully we can come back when the weather is more appealing”

“Awesome place, beautifully built. Melanie was our guide and she was very knowledgeable and warm/dynamic in her presentation. I highly recommended the tasting tour even if you’re not a whisky fan. The others spirits are wonderful and the cocktails ideas are super. As I was driving there, they had a special package for drivers to ensure our safety.i really appreciated that little extra”

“My husband and I visited Galloway Distillery a couple days ago. Bought some souvenirs, did a tasting of spirits, toured the facility. It's a beautiful place. Will definitely bring some family and friends by when we’re next in Scotland. I put in a wee wittle suggestion with our tour host, which was to provide food or snacks for purchase. She let me know that is something already in the works! 10/10!!”

“We've been on a few distillery tours and Galloway Distillery comes out on top for the overall experience. The guided tour was fun and interesting (thanks Jay), the tasting included 6 samples (vodka x2, gin x3 and whisky x1, a combination of Harbour and Hills and Sassenach brands) and the shop gave us a variety of gifts to buy. The take away package for drivers was also the best I've known. I got the chance to bring away all 6 of the spirits others had sampled, so no missing out. We all got an extra miniature of our choice to bring away too. I hope this distillery goes from strength to strength and I look forward to hearing when the first whisky distilled here is available to buy alongside the excellent Sassenach whisky. I'm now looking forward to trying out some of the cocktail recipes from Sam Heughan's book that I purchased.”
